At the start you choose between two protagonists, Claude and Rena, and your pick changes whose perspective the story follows and which scenes you see. The plot moves between planets in a setting that blends science fiction with fantasy adventure. Combat is real time, taking place on a battlefield where you control one character directly while allies act according to their orders, chaining normal attacks with special arts and spells. Away from battle, Private Actions let you spend time with individual party members in towns, shaping relationships that influence recruitment and endings. A deep set of crafting and skill systems lets you create items, weapons and other goods.
