A PlayStation conversion of the first-person shooter starring Kyle Katarn, a mercenary working for the Rebel Alliance. The campaign sends you through Imperial bases, sewers, ships and industrial complexes, uncovering a project to build armored Dark Troopers. You explore fairly open, multi-level maps, hunting for keys, switches and objective items rather than simply moving from one door to the next, and you can look up and down and cross uneven terrain. The arsenal builds from a blaster pistol and rifle up to heavier Imperial weapons, with grenades, mines, a head-lamp, goggles and other gear supporting the tougher stages. Stormtroopers, officers, droids and creatures oppose you, and briefings between missions advance the story with cutscenes set in the era around the original trilogy.
