This handheld version of The Force Unleashed puts you in the role of Darth Vader's secret apprentice during the period between Episode III and Episode IV. The game is third-person action, mixing lightsaber combos with Force abilities including push, grip and lightning, which can be used to throw enemies and scenery around the arena. Defeating enemies earns points you spend on upgrading powers and talents, and lightsaber crystals can be swapped to change blade color and combat properties. The campaign moves through a series of Star Wars planets and locations against stormtroopers, droids and boss encounters, with story sequences between missions. The PSP release is its own build rather than a direct port of the home console versions, and it includes a duel mode for one-on-one fights using unlockable characters.
