Steambot Chronicles: Battle Tournament is a PlayStation Portable entry in the Steambot series, focused on combat between Trotmobiles, the bipedal steam-powered walking machines that define the setting. You assemble a machine from parts, choosing frames, legs, arms and weapons that change its weight, handling and offensive options, then take it into arena matches. Battles play out in enclosed arenas where movement, ammunition and part durability all matter. Winning fights earns money and components for further customization, encouraging you to rebuild and re-tune your machine between bouts. Outside the arena, there is exploration and interaction with characters in the game's world. Ad hoc wireless multiplayer lets you bring your own build against another player's machine. The tone follows the series' hand-drawn, steam-era aesthetic rather than hard science fiction.
