Street Fighter Alpha 2 is a 2D one-on-one fighting game on the PlayStation, converted from Capcom's arcade release. It is set in the Alpha storyline, which sits between the events of the earlier Street Fighter games, and features hand-drawn characters and backgrounds in an anime-influenced art style. The roster mixes familiar World Warriors with characters drawn from Final Fight and fighters introduced in the Alpha series. Combat uses six attack buttons alongside special moves performed with joystick motions. The system includes a multi-level Super Combo gauge, air blocking, and Custom Combos that let you chain a string of attacks together at the cost of meter. Modes include single-player arcade play against a series of opponents, versus matches for two players, and training and options for practice.
