Street Fighter Alpha Anthology collects Capcom's Alpha series of 2D fighting games on one PlayStation 2 disc. It brings together Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter Alpha 2 and its Gold revision, and Street Fighter Alpha 3, letting you move between the different eras of the series and see how the systems changed, from the introduction of Alpha Counters and Custom Combos through to the -ism styles of Alpha 3. Each game keeps its six-button controls, best-of-three rounds and hand-drawn, anime-influenced sprite work. The compilation adds configuration options for adjusting settings across the included titles, versus play for two players, and a remix mode that mixes elements from different entries. Additional Capcom fighting content is also included on the disc for players who unlock it.
