Street Fighter Collection 2 compiles the earlier arcade revisions of Street Fighter II on PlayStation: The World Warrior, Champion Edition and Hyper Fighting. Playing them side by side shows how the game changed over time, from the original eight selectable fighters through the version that made the four boss characters playable and allowed mirror matches, to the faster edition with adjusted move properties. Each game is presented as its own selectable entry with arcade play against the CPU and two-player versus matches. The six-button control scheme, fireball and charge motions, and round-based best-of-three structure are the same across all three, so the differences come down to speed, roster access and individual move tuning. Options for difficulty and match settings are included.
