Street Fighter EX2 Plus is a fighting game with polygonal 3D character models that move and fight along a 2D plane, so the familiar quarter-circle and charge inputs still apply. The roster mixes Capcom's Street Fighter cast with original characters created for the EX series. Alongside standard super combos, the game uses the Excel system, which lets you cancel freely between normal and special moves for a limited window to build long custom strings. Guard breaks, meter management and multi-level super gauges factor into how rounds play out. The PlayStation release includes arcade mode, versus play, training and additional single-player modes, with a character select screen that unlocks further fighters through play.
