Street Fighter: The Movie is a one-on-one fighting game tied to the live-action Street Fighter film. Instead of the hand-drawn art of the mainline series, the roster is built from digitized photography of the film's cast, so Guile, M. Bison, Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and the rest appear as photo-realistic sprites fighting on backdrops drawn from the movie's settings. Play follows familiar Street Fighter conventions: six attack buttons, blocking, and motion-input special moves, with throws and super combos available depending on the character. Alongside standard arcade-style and versus play, the home version includes a mode that follows the film's plot, moving you through a sequence of matches with story framing between fights. Two players can compete head to head on one console.
