Stuntman: Ignition continues the series' premise of playing a stunt driver performing scripted sequences for fictional films on the PlayStation 2. You take direction over the radio as you race through sets, hitting jumps, drifting around cameras, smashing through breakaway walls and timing each manoeuvre to the shooting script. Stringing stunts together builds a score multiplier, so performing extra tricks between required beats improves your rating on a take. Missions are grouped into films of different genres, each with its own vehicles, locations and setpieces, from car chases to explosive finales. Between shoots there are additional challenges and a mode for practising stunts freely in constructed arenas. Restarting is quick, and the design expects repeated attempts as you learn each scene's sequence.
