Summoner 2 is a fantasy action role-playing game for PlayStation 2. You play as Maia, a queen whose destiny is tied to older powers, and you lead a small party through towns, temples and hostile territory. Combat is handled in real time, with you controlling one character directly while allies fight alongside you, and you can swap between party members as the situation demands. Maia's defining ability is transformation: she can take on alternate forms that change her attacks and how she handles a fight. Progression covers levelling, equipment and abilities for the whole party, and the game mixes exploration and puzzle-style obstacles with its battles. The story is delivered through dialogue, cutscenes and interaction with the characters who join you along the way.
