Superbike 2000 is a motorcycle racing game for the PlayStation based on superbike competition. You ride a racing motorcycle around circuits, braking into corners, picking lines and managing your lean through turns while contending with a field of rival riders. Alongside single races there are championship-style seasons that run through a calendar of tracks, plus time trial and practice options for learning each course. Bike setup can be adjusted before going out, with handling behaviour changing accordingly, and difficulty settings alter how aggressive and quick the AI riders are. The handling model asks for smoother inputs than a car racer, since aggressive braking or throttle can lose the back end. Presentation follows the televised race format, with grid starts, lap timing and position boards during each event.
