An unconventional open-ended game for the PlayStation set in a prehistoric world. You control members of a small tribe living in a large, sparsely populated landscape of plains, mountains, caves and coastline. There are no conventional levels or missions: you set out from the village to explore, hunt animals for meat and materials, and carry what you find back home. Physical characteristics such as speed, strength and stamina develop through use rather than through experience points, and characters age over time, so you switch between tribe members across generations. Mammoth tusks and other resources contribute to building a tower reaching toward the sun. Day and night pass as you travel, and much of the game involves observing how the world and your tribe change.
