Tak and the Power of Juju is a 3D action platformer starring Tak, an apprentice shaman whose tribe has been struck by a curse. Viewed from behind the character, you explore jungle environments by running, jumping, climbing and swimming, taking on enemies in melee combat and gathering collectibles hidden across the levels. Juju magic grants Tak abilities used in both fighting and traversal, and sequences let him take control of animals to solve problems and reach new areas. Boss encounters mark the ends of larger chapters. The game keeps a light tone, with cartoonish character models, tribal-inspired art and comic dialogue. This PlayStation 2 release is the first entry in the Tak series, designed as a single-player adventure.
