This PlayStation platformer adapts Disney's animated Tarzan. You play as Tarzan across jungle stages, swinging on vines, surfing along tree branches, climbing and jumping your way toward the end of each level while avoiding hazards and hostile animals. Portions of the game cast you as young Tarzan, and the levels loosely track the events of the film, with familiar characters and settings appearing along the way. Items are hidden throughout the stages, so there is reason to explore rather than simply reach the exit. Combat is simple, relying on a basic attack and well-timed jumps. Presentation leans on the film's art style, music and voice work. The pacing and difficulty are pitched toward a family audience, making it an accessible side-scrolling platformer for players new to the genre.
