Tekken Tag Tournament brings the 3D fighting series to PlayStation 2 with team-based matches. You pick two fighters and switch between them mid-round with a tag button, letting the resting character slowly recover health while the active one fights. A round ends when either member of a team is knocked out, so managing when to swap is as important as landing combos. The roster draws on characters from across the earlier Tekken games, each with the series' large movelists built around four buttons mapped to individual limbs. Modes include arcade play, versus, team battle, survival and practice, along with Tekken Bowl, a bowling minigame using the fighters. Matches run on the same eight-way movement and sidestepping system the series is known for.
