The Terminator: Dawn of Fate is a third-person action game for PlayStation 2 set during the future war between humans and Skynet's machines. You play as Kyle Reese, fighting through ruined cities and machine facilities alongside other members of the human resistance. Combat centres on taking cover, using a lock-on targeting system and switching between the weapons you scavenge, since ammunition is finite and the mechanical enemies take punishment. Missions include objectives such as reaching a location, escorting or supporting allies and destroying Skynet hardware, with hunter-killer machines and Terminator endoskeletons among the opposition. The story fills in events leading up to Reese being sent back in time, and it is presented with cutscenes between stages. Single-player only, played from a camera behind the character.
