The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer continues the story beyond the Pixar film, pitting the heroes against the Underminer. You play as Mr. Incredible and Frozone, switching between them or teaming up in two-player co-op on the same console. Mr. Incredible fights at close range with strength-based attacks, throws and heavy object handling, while Frozone uses ice powers to freeze enemies, create ice paths and slide across surfaces. Levels move through underground tunnels and industrial areas, combining combat against waves of enemies with platforming and environmental puzzles that often require both characters' abilities. Defeating enemies earns points used to unlock upgrades and additional moves as you advance. Boss encounters break up the chapters, and the PlayStation 2 version presents the campaign in 3D throughout.
