The Next Tetris is a PlayStation puzzle game that reworks the standard Tetris formula. Alongside conventional single-colour tetrominoes, pieces can be made up of differently coloured blocks that separate when part of the piece is supported and part is not, so leftover fragments fall and settle into gaps below. This cascading behaviour changes how you plan placements, since a poorly stacked board can collapse into new arrangements and set off clears you did not directly line up. The basic goal remains the same: rotate and position falling pieces to complete horizontal lines and keep the well from filling to the top. The game includes modes for solo play and head-to-head competition, with rising speed providing the pressure as sessions continue.
