Tiger Woods 99 PGA Tour Golf is a golf simulation for the PlayStation. You play stroke and match rounds using a three-click swing meter that sets power and controls accuracy, with adjustments for club selection, stance, spin and shot shape before you hit. Wind, lie and green contours all affect the ball, and the putting view lets you read slope before committing to a line. Tiger Woods appears as a playable golfer alongside other tour professionals, and you can compete in single rounds, tournaments and skill challenges, or play with friends by passing the controller. Courses are rendered in 3D with flyover previews of each hole. The presentation includes commentary and on-screen shot data such as distance to the pin and club recommendations for players learning the game.
