The PlayStation Portable release of Tomb Raider: Legend brings the third-person Lara Croft adventure to a handheld. You travel through ruins, temples and outdoor locations while following a trail of artifacts linked to Arthurian legend, alternating between traversal, puzzle solving and gunplay. Lara runs, jumps, climbs, swims and shimmies along ledges, and her grapple lets her swing over gaps and drag objects into position. Puzzles use machinery, movable blocks and water, while combat covers armed opponents and wildlife. Some chapters change pace with vehicle sections or timed button prompts. Hidden items are placed throughout the levels for players who explore off the main route, and cleared chapters can be revisited for time trials. Controls are mapped to the PSP's single analog nub and face buttons.
