The PlayStation version of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 is built for the original hardware, with its own selection of levels rather than a direct copy of the newer console release. Career mode has you take timed runs through each stage, ticking off goals such as score targets, collecting S-K-A-T-E, and completing tasks placed around the environment in order to unlock further locations. Trick combos are chained through grinds, grabs, flips and lip tricks, with manuals and the revert letting you keep a run going between obstacles. You choose a licensed professional skater or create your own, spending earned points on stats and new moves. A park editor and multiplayer modes are included alongside the career.
