Torino 2006 is an officially licensed game based on the Winter Olympic Games held in Turin, Italy. You compete in winter sports events across disciplines such as alpine skiing, bobsleigh, speed skating, and ski jumping, choosing a nation and taking part in individual events or a full Olympic-style campaign that tracks medals. Each event uses its own control scheme, ranging from rhythmic button and analog-stick inputs to build and maintain speed, to timing-based inputs for takeoffs, turns, and landings. Courses and venues are modeled on the real competition sites, and results are measured against qualifying times and scores. Multiplayer lets several players trade off through events and compare finishes on the medal table.
