Toy Story Racer for PlayStation is a kart-style racing game built around characters and locations from the Toy Story films. You race as toys including Woody, Buzz Lightyear and RC, driving through courses set in places such as Andy's house, the neighbourhood and Pizza Planet. Tracks are littered with weapon and boost pickups you can use to slow rivals or pull ahead, and shortcuts reward learning each circuit. Beyond straight races the game includes alternative event types and a championship structure, plus split-screen play for two racers on one console. Presentation follows the films closely, with cartoon-styled character models, themed environments and voice clips during races. Handling is arcade-oriented rather than simulation-based, with drifting and item use central to finishing first.
