Transformers Beast Wars Transmetals is a one-on-one fighting game for PlayStation featuring characters from the Beast Wars series. You select a Maximal or Predacon and battle in 3D arenas, with each fighter able to switch between beast mode and robot mode during a match. The two forms have different movement and attacks, so changing between them at the right moment is part of the strategy alongside standard punches, kicks, throws and special moves. Matches follow the usual best-of-rounds structure and can be played against the computer or a second player. Modes include a single-player run through the roster leading to a final opponent, plus versus play. Character models and stages are drawn from the CG television series the game is based on.
