TRIBES: Aerial Assault brings the Tribes style of first-person shooting to PlayStation 2. You fight in powered armor equipped with a jetpack and the series' signature skiing movement, letting you slide down slopes and boost into the air to cover large outdoor maps at speed. Weapons include projectile launchers and energy arms that require leading fast-moving targets rather than instant-hit aiming. Team play centers on objectives such as capture the flag, with players taking on roles like offense, defense and support, deploying turrets, sensors and repair equipment, and using vehicles to move across terrain. The game supports online multiplayer over the PlayStation 2 network adapter alongside offline matches against bots and a set of single-player missions that teach the movement and combat systems.
