Triple Play 2000 is a Major League Baseball game for PlayStation, part of EA Sports' long-running Triple Play series. It features licensed MLB teams, players and stadiums, with batting, pitching and fielding handled through the standard controller setup of aiming a cursor, selecting pitch types and timing swings. Modes cover exhibition games, full seasons, playoffs and home run competition, along with the ability to manage rosters and lineups. Presentation includes commentary, crowd audio and broadcast-style camera angles and replays. Difficulty options and fielding assists let you set how much of the game you control directly versus leaving to the CPU. Two players can compete head to head, and the season mode tracks statistics for players and teams as you work through the schedule.
