Turok: Evolution is a first-person shooter for the PlayStation 2 set earlier in the series timeline, with Tal'Set as the playable warrior after he is drawn into the Lost Land. You fight through jungle, canyon and settlement stages against dinosaurs and enemy troops, using an arsenal that spans bows, firearms and heavier energy and explosive weapons, several with alternate fire modes. Enemies react to hits on specific body parts, and stealth kills with the bow are an option in some encounters. Between the on-foot levels are aerial missions where you ride a pterosaur, attacking ground targets and navigating narrow canyon routes. The game includes multiplayer deathmatch modes, and story sequences link the chapters together.
