Ty the Tasmanian Tiger 2: Bush Rescue is a third-person platform adventure set in an Australian outback setting. You control Ty, who fights using throwable boomerangs, several varieties of which are unlocked over the course of the game and carry different elemental or utility effects. The structure centres on a hub town: you take missions from characters there and travel out to connected areas to complete them. Objectives include combat encounters, rescues, timed runs and item collection. Driving sections add vehicle-based travel and shooting to the mix, and earnings from missions can be spent on upgrades. Exploration is encouraged, with collectibles scattered through the outdoor environments alongside the main mission line.
