Um Jammer Lammy is a rhythm game for the PlayStation in which you play as Lammy, a guitarist who copes with stress by imagining a guitar in her hands. Each stage is a musical number where an on-screen teacher or partner plays a phrase and you answer it, pressing the matching buttons in time with the beat. A meter tracks your performance from stage to stage, rising or falling depending on how well you keep the rhythm, and freestyling around the given pattern rather than copying it exactly is rewarded. The presentation uses flat, paper-thin characters moving through hand-drawn backgrounds, with fully sung songs driving each level. Stages follow Lammy's increasingly strange day as she tries to reach a concert with her band.
