Unison: Rebels of Rhythm and Dance is a music and dance game for the PlayStation 2. Songs are played by pressing controller buttons in time with prompts that scroll on screen, with your accuracy judged note by note and scored at the end of each routine. Rather than showing abstract dancers, the game frames each track around animated characters performing choreographed routines set to the music, so the visuals react to how well you keep the beat. You select from a roster of dancers and work through tracks of varying tempo and difficulty. The game is played with a standard controller and centres on timing and pattern recognition, with repeated attempts at a song being the main route to higher scores.
