Valhalla Knights is a role-playing game for the PlayStation Portable in which you build and lead a party of created characters. You choose race, class and appearance for your recruits, hire additional members at guilds in town, and equip them for expeditions into dungeons, forests and other hostile areas. Combat plays out in real time in enclosed battle areas, with direct control of your lead character while allies act according to their roles and any orders you set. Classes can be changed and combined as characters gain levels, allowing you to carry abilities across builds. Towns serve as hubs for shops, item storage, quests and party management between trips into the field. Ad hoc multiplayer allows play with others, and much of the game centres on grinding, gear acquisition and party composition.
