Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is a PSP version of the role-playing game in which you play as the valkyrie Lenneth, tasked with gathering the souls of slain warriors and preparing them for the war between the gods. The game is divided into chapters governed by a time system, and you spend periods traveling a world map, witnessing the deaths of potential recruits and exploring side-scrolling dungeons filled with puzzles, hazards and hidden treasure. Combat is turn-based, with each of your four party members assigned to a face button so timed inputs build combos and unlock special attacks. Recruited einherjar can be trained, equipped and then sent to Valhalla, where their performance affects the unfolding story. The PSP release adds animated cutscenes to the original presentation.
