Viewpoint is a shoot-'em-up played from an isometric viewpoint rather than the usual top-down or side-on perspective. You control a small craft moving across a diagonal grid, dodging enemy formations and projectiles that travel along the same angled plane, which changes how you judge distance and timing compared to a standard shooter. Power-ups upgrade your main shot and add options that trail your ship, and you carry a limited stock of bombs for clearing the screen. Stages are built around wireframe and geometric structures, organic enemy designs, and large bosses that fill much of the play area. The soundtrack leans on electronic dance music. The game originated in arcades and on Neo Geo hardware before appearing on other systems.
