Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble is a multiplayer brawler built around characters from the Viewtiful Joe series. Several fighters share a side-on stage and compete through shifting objectives during each round, including collecting items, striking targets, and knocking one another around. Scoring is based on completing these objectives, so the winner is decided by points rather than by being the last character standing. VFX powers from the series turn up as temporary pickups that change the pace of the action. The roster is drawn from the heroes and villains of the games, and the presentation keeps the cel-shaded, comic-book look. This PSP version supports single-player matches against computer opponents as well as play with other players.
