Virtual Pool 3 is a pool simulation for the PlayStation. You line up shots from a first-person view at the table, aiming the cue, adjusting english and elevation, and controlling stroke speed to set the pace and spin of the cue ball. The camera can be moved around the table to check angles and plan position play before committing to a shot. A range of cue sports rule sets is included, so you can play games such as eight ball and nine ball against the computer or another player at the same console. The emphasis is on physics and shot-making technique rather than arcade-style presentation, with practice and trick-shot style modes available to work on specific situations away from full matches.
