VR Baseball '97 is a baseball game for the PlayStation, released under Interplay's VR Sports label. It presents the sport in polygonal 3D with camera angles that shift between pitching, batting and fielding. You control pitch selection and location on the mound, timing and placement at the plate, and fielders and baserunners once the ball is in play. Team and player rosters are drawn from Major League Baseball clubs, and games can be played as one-off exhibitions or through longer season and playoff play, with statistics tracked as you go. Options let you adjust the length of games and difficulty, and two players can compete head-to-head on the same console. Commentary and stadium audio accompany the action during play.
