WALL-E for the PlayStation 2 is an action platformer based on the Pixar film. You mainly control WALL-E, the small waste-collecting robot, using his ability to compress rubbish into cubes that can be carried, thrown at hazards and stacked to reach higher ground. Levels follow the story's locations, moving from the debris-covered Earth to the interior of a spaceship, and mix platforming, light puzzle solving and simple combat against robotic obstacles. Some sections put you in control of EVE, whose hovering movement and blaster change how you approach an area. Collectibles are hidden throughout the stages, and extra content such as bonus challenges and multiplayer mini-games can be unlocked. Cutscenes and character designs are drawn from the film.
