Project Zoo is a third-person action platformer starring the Aardman characters Wallace and Gromit. You control Gromit for most of the adventure, exploring a zoo whose animals are being put to work by a familiar penguin villain. Gromit runs, jumps, climbs and swings his way through themed areas, while Wallace supplies the contraptions: gadget arms and inventions that let you punch obstacles, grab objects, fire projectiles and solve simple mechanical puzzles. Progress involves rescuing baby animals, collecting parts and cogs, and clearing platforming challenges and boss encounters at the end of each area. The presentation follows the claymation look of the films, with cel-styled models, slapstick animation and voiced cutscenes between levels. The PlayStation 2 version plays the same as other console releases.
