Wheel of Fortune for the PlayStation is an adaptation of the long-running television word game. Three players take turns spinning a wheel, calling consonants, buying vowels and trying to solve hidden phrases within a category before their opponents do. Landing on Bankrupt wipes out your round total, and Lose a Turn passes control along, so there is a constant choice between spinning again for more cash and solving while you are still ahead. Contestants who win rounds advance to a bonus puzzle with a limited set of letters revealed. The game handles the board, the host duties and the letter reveals automatically, and computer-controlled opponents can fill any empty contestant slots for solo play. Puzzles are drawn from the show's standard categories.
