Whirl Tour is an extreme sports game built around freestyle scooter riding. You take a rider through open skate-style environments, building up speed on ramps, rails and street obstacles and stringing together jumps, grinds and spins into combos for points. Play follows the familiar structure of the genre: each area sets out objectives and score targets to work through while you learn the layout and find the lines that keep a run going. Landing tricks cleanly and linking them without bailing is the main skill involved. The game features a cartoon-styled cast and colourful environments rather than a realistic presentation. If you are familiar with the trick-combo skating and BMX games of the PlayStation 2 era, the controls and goals here will feel recognisable.
