A PlayStation adaptation of the television quiz show, following the same format as the broadcast version. You answer multiple-choice questions of increasing difficulty, climbing a money ladder one question at a time, with the option to walk away and keep what you have banked rather than risk a wrong answer. The three lifelines from the show are included: fifty-fifty, phone a friend and ask the audience, each usable once per game. Questions cover general knowledge across a wide spread of subjects. The presentation copies the show's staging, with the lighting, music cues and on-screen question layout recreated. Multiple players can take turns, which makes it usable as a party or family game as well as a solo one. Play is entirely menu-driven, with no action elements.
