Wipeout Pulse is an anti-gravity racer for PSP. You pilot hovering craft for competing race teams around futuristic circuits, using air brakes and pitch control to stay on line at high speed while collecting weapons, shields and boosts from pads on the track. Damage drains your ship's energy, and pickups can be absorbed for repairs instead of used offensively. The campaign is laid out as a grid of events covering races, time trials, elimination and other challenge types, with medals unlocking further tiers and faster speed classes. Ships can be given custom liveries, and multiplayer racing is supported over wireless. The presentation follows the series' stark graphic-design styling and licensed electronic soundtrack.
