World Poker Tour is a Texas hold'em game for the PlayStation 2 based on the televised poker series. Play centres on no-limit hold'em, with betting rounds before the flop and after each community card, and you choose to check, call, raise, fold or push all in as the hand develops. A career-style progression takes you through a circuit of tournaments, with rising blinds thinning the field on the way to the final table. Computer opponents play with differing tendencies, and on-screen information tracks the pot, chip counts and your position at the table. Presentation follows the television broadcast style, including table graphics and commentary over the action. Multiple players can take turns at the same console, and progress is stored to a memory card.
