WTA Tour Tennis is a tennis game for PlayStation 2 built around the women's professional tour, featuring licensed players competing in singles and doubles matches. Play covers the usual court surfaces, with ball speed and bounce changing between them, and shot selection is handled through button presses for flat drives, topspin, slice and lobs, with timing and positioning determining power and placement. Beyond exhibition matches you can work through a tour structure, playing a sequence of tournaments and building a ranking. Doubles play adds partner positioning and net exchanges to the mix. Difficulty settings and match length options let you set up anything from quick single sets to longer contests. Controls emphasise footwork and anticipation, since getting into position early is what makes stronger shots possible.
