The X-Files: Resist or Serve is a survival horror game based on the television series. You play as FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, investigating strange deaths in a small Colorado town, with the story split so that each agent has their own path through the events. Gameplay follows the third-person survival horror template of its era: exploring locations, gathering items and documents, solving obstacles and using firearms against hostile figures, with ammunition and health supplies to manage. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson provide the voices for their characters, and the presentation borrows the show's tone of conspiracy, autopsies and unexplained phenomena. Cutscenes carry the plot between areas, and the two agents' perspectives cover different ground in the same investigation.
