Yggdra Union is a tactical role-playing game in which you lead a princess and her band of resistance fighters against an occupying empire. Battles play out on grid maps, but the twist is that each turn is driven by a card: the card you select sets how far your units can move, how many actions you get, and what special effect is available, so managing a limited hand across a whole map matters as much as unit placement. When two units clash, the fight resolves as an exchange between the surrounding troops, with weapon types, terrain and morale feeding into the outcome. Between battles the story unfolds through portrait-driven dialogue scenes. The PSP version presents the campaign with voice acting and additional content beyond the earlier handheld release.
