Bases Loaded is a baseball game for the NES that presents pitching and batting from a viewpoint behind the pitcher, looking in toward the batter, which gives a close view of the strike zone. You select pitch type and placement, then switch to timing swings when your side comes up to bat. Once a ball is hit, the display changes to show the field so you can control fielders, make throws and run the bases. Teams and players are fictional, with pitchers who tire as a game goes on and rosters that give you substitution decisions to make. Modes cover single games and extended play against the computer, and two players can face each other. Presentation is functional, with sizeable sprites and simple stadium backdrops.
