Gex: Enter the Gecko is a 3D platformer for the PlayStation in which you control Gex, a gecko pulled into the world of television. Each hub leads to levels styled after TV and film genres, including horror, cartoons, kung fu movies and science fiction, with enemies and set pieces drawn from those themes. Gex climbs walls and ceilings with his feet, uses his tail as a whip to strike enemies, and can bounce off certain objects. Levels are cleared by finding remote controls, with primary objectives unlocking new areas and secondary ones hidden throughout for players who explore. The camera sits behind Gex as you platform through the stages. Gex delivers a constant stream of pop-culture quips as you play, voiced throughout the game.
