Jeremy McGrath Supercross 98 is a dirt bike racing game for PlayStation licensed around the supercross rider. You race in stadium supercross events, taking on packed tracks of jumps, whoops and tight banked turns while trading positions with a field of AI riders. Throttle control and mid-air balance are the core skills, as landing badly or clipping another rider slows you down or drops you off the bike. The game includes single races, championship play that carries results across a series of events, and practice sessions for learning track layouts. Bike handling can be adjusted before races. The action is viewed from behind the rider, with lap, position and timing information displayed on screen. A split-screen option supports two players racing against each other.
